We aim to meet the spiritual needs of those unable to receive the benefits of meeting together at church meetings.

St Peter's is situated in the village of Hawkenbury which itself is a mini suburb of Tunbridge Wells. Hawkenbury has a very diverse population of nearly four thousand. It has an exceptional number of nursing homes and warden-assisted accommodation for the elderly, there are many small new estates comprising high numbers of young families as well as established estates and homes where teenagers and young adults reside.

The congregation reflects this diversity with over 80 adults and 40 children (3 to 17 years) regularly attending services.

Members of the congregation work in community charities and organisations including schools, child counselling services, children’s groups, nursing homes, pastoral care and adult mental health
